O Colégio Le Petit Nicolá foi fundado em 2016 com a crença em uma educação transformadora, que proporciona aos alunos a capacidade de se inserir e participar ativamente do contexto sócio-histórico-cultural em que vivem. Iniciamos nossas atividades em uma casa alugada no centro de Mairiporã, adaptada para receber nossos primeiros alunos da Educação Infantil. O ambiente interno era acolhedor e alegre, assemelhando-se a uma extensão do lar das crianças.
No primeiro ano, matriculamos 36 alunos e, no dia 8 de fevereiro de 2016, tivemos o nosso primeiro dia de aula. No ano seguinte, nosso projeto de expansão começou a ganhar força, e investimos na instalação do Ensino Fundamental I. Reestruturamos o prédio, fizemos mudanças na fachada e criamos novas salas de aula. Em dezembro de 2017, recebemos a autorização para a instalação do Ensino Fundamental. Nesse mesmo ano, firmamos uma parceria com o Sistema Mackenzie de Ensino, mantida pela Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, que com seus 150 anos de experiência nos auxilia na condução efetiva de nossa proposta pedagógica.
Nosso sonho continuou crescendo e, em julho de 2018, inauguramos a Unidade Cantareira. Localizada no coração da Serra da Cantareira, este complexo educacional possui 8000 m² de terreno, 1800 m² de área construída, laboratório completo de informática e ciências, salas arejadas e amplas, quadra coberta, parque, estacionamento próprio e é totalmente adequada para acessibilidade. Cercado por muito verde e contato com a natureza, a Unidade Cantareira oferece um equilíbrio perfeito entre área construída e recreativa, promovendo um aprendizado integrado com a natureza.
