A criação do Colégio “Adélia Costa e Silva” se deu em fevereiro de 1996 devido às solicitações da comunidade em geral e dos pais dos alunos da então Escola de Educação Infantil “Amiguinhos do Jaraguá”, com a qual vínhamos há nove anos realizando um trabalho com ênfase na formação de um aluno questionador, participativo, curioso e interessado em aprender e em alfabetizar-se.
A ideia era criar uma escola que desse continuidade a esse trabalho e atendesse nossos alunos e as outras crianças da região,
beneficiando um maior número de pessoas e tendo sempre como objetivo principal o desenvolvimento de uma educação de altíssima qualidade que contemplasse todas as necessidades e anseios tanto dos alunos quanto dos pais. Queríamos preparar nossas crianças para uma sociedade que solicita cada vez mais uma Educação Integral visando o processo de desenvolvimento da sua capacidade física, intelectual e moral e também o desenvolvimento de atitudes de solidariedade, respeito, tolerância e determinação.
